ON-LINE RENEWAL
Instructions
If it has been over a year since you took your last Called to Protect Training Session, you are due for a renewal. The Diocese of Phoenix is requiring all employees, catechists, ministers and volunteers to renew our commitment in protecting the children of our community from abuse. Below are the step-by-step instructions on how to complete this training on-line. The only requirement is that you have previously completed the 3-hour Foundational Course called “Called to Protect for Ministries”. It's called "Internet Safety (Online Video)".
Go to the Diocese Website: www.diocesephoenix.org
Click on "Safe Environment"
Click on "My Obligations"
Type in your name and address, and click "Search".
Once your information pops up, scroll down to the bottom of the page and click “Update Information and Continue"
In the section that reads: “You will need to take one of these classes to satisfy your training requirements”, click on “Internet Safety (Online Video)”. Then click on “Continue to training”
You will watch a 5 minute video from Bishop Thomas Olmsted.
After watching the video, the system will begin the training. You will watch a total of five segments and you will be asked to answer a few questions after each segment.
The online course lasts about 30 minutes
Once you complete the course, the system will automatically update your record and issue credit for the course.
And, that's it!! You are done!! Very easy, very user friendly!!! If you have any questions or are not sure when you took this training last, please call Gloria Romero at 480-507-4431. |
